Cultivation Zone : from Nîmes to Narbonne covering 50 km,
it groups 12 terroirs (Corbières, La Clape, La Méjanelle,
Montpeyroux, Picpoul de Pinet, Pic St Loup, Quatourze, St Christol,

3 "cru" (Faugères, St Chinian and Clairette du

Geology : varied; made up of gravel from the old branch of the
Rhone and the different coastal rivers which irrigated it. There
are also schistous and limestone soils with garrigue.
Climate : predominantly mediterranean with late autumns. Wet periods
are limited to autumn and spring. Long periods of dryness and
compensated by important underground hydrologic resources.

wines are Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre (5% min) and Cinsault
and Carignan. For the Pic St Loup terroir : Syrah, Grenache and
Mourvèdre (90 % min). For the whites wines : Grenache,
Clairette, Bourboulenc, Picpoul, Roussanne, Marsanne and Rolle.
For the terroir Picpoul de Pinet: 100% Piquepoul.
Vinification : traditional or whole grain for the reds, bleeding
method for the rosés and direct pressing for the white
wines.
Characteristics : in spite of their diversity, one finds in all
these wines influenced by the scents of garrigue, a sensation
of suppleness and freshness which adds to the pleasure of the
gentle way of life.
