partners responsible for the protection and the conservation
of Camargue :
The
Regional Natural Park Of Camargue
It is responsible for the protection of the environment and
of species, supports traditional economic activities and receives
the public.
Le centre de Ginès, four kilometers from Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer,
provides information and educates the public about this particular
environment.
Visitors will find : a permanent exhibition, a projection
room with audio-visual set up, temporary exhibitions , documentation
and information about Camargue.

Camargue
National Reserve
Stretches over 13,000 ha of total reserve. It has a warden,
maintenance group, a scientific staff, and attendants to receive
the public.
La Capelière
Nature Information Center : exhibition halls and readings
about the Camarguais landscape is available to the public.
Digue
à la Mer
Twenty kilometers of pedestrian walk on the reserve, on the
dike and the coast.
La Digue à La Mer is permanently opend to the public.
Access to the dunes is prohibited and motorized vehicules
must stay on the parking lots situated at each end.

La
Palissade
Property of the "Conservatoire du Littoral", it
presents the existing natural conditions before the dyking
of Camargue. Environmental conservation and public reception.
Discovery
Of The Environment:
Guided tours for groups. Presentation of the fauna and flora.
Specially converted paths on the property for individuals
and families (observation tower, observatory, information
board).
Exhibition:
Visitors can watch, in the main building, slides about nature,
discover a herbarium, a salty water aquarium (aquatic fauna
of the Rhone river and swamps).

The
Ornithological Park Of Pont de Gau
A park which combines the pleasure of strolling with discovery
of the flora.
This park offers the discovery, in their natural environment,
of a good number of bird species living in Camargue as well
as migrating birds.
Twelve hectares of swamp with marked paths which allow visitors
to be in close contact with numerous birds living in liberty.

La
Sigoulette
An association with a goal of information giving. La Sigoulette
sensitizes children about the environment. It has the mission
to teach why and how to respect Nature.
It offers 300 hectares of Wild dedicated to specific activities
of Camargue (bulls, horses, agriculture, flora , fauna).
It
offers accomodation including three meals in a rustic Camargue
farm-house with a capacity or sixty beds, a dinning- room,
class and audio-visual rooms.
La
Sigoulette welcomes children in an atmosphere of discovery
(kindergarten to high-school), young people for short stays
and horse-riding vacations. Adults are of course welcome.

The
Biological Resort of the Tour du Valat
It is a research organization whose aim is to promote and
participate in the observation of humid mediterranean zones.
With a vocation of scientific research, it welcomes French
and foreigners and participates in the realization of popular
works.
